How we charge

• Model: One-time purchase per course or learning programme (pay once, access for the period stated on the course page).
• Currency: South African Rand (ZAR). Amounts are displayed in ZAR on the course page and at checkout.
• VAT: Where applicable, value-added tax is included in the displayed price or shown as a separate line item at checkout, in line with South African tax rules.
• Discounts: Promotional or bundle discounts, when offered, are applied before payment. The checkout total is final before you complete payment.
• No hidden platform fees: We do not add a separate “platform fee” on top of the course price shown at checkout.

Product categories (indicative ranges)

Individual course prices depend on length, accreditation, and included services. Final prices are always shown on each course page and confirmed at checkout. Typical ranges:

Subscriptions

Our primary offer is per-course purchase. If we offer a recurring subscription or membership in future, its price, billing interval, and renewal terms will be shown clearly before you subscribe.

Susca Watts Academy (Pty) Ltd wants learners to understand what they are buying. Because our products are digital and access often begins immediately after payment, refunds are limited as described below and in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (South Africa), where it applies.

When you may request a refund

• Duplicate or erroneous charge: If you were charged twice for the same enrolment or our system recorded a payment error, contact us within 14 days. We will investigate and refund the duplicate or erroneous amount.
• Technical failure on our side: If you paid but could not access the purchased course due to a fault in our platform (not due to your device, internet, or account details), contact us within 14 days. We will fix access or offer a refund if we cannot restore access within a reasonable time.
• Cooling-off (where applicable): For direct marketing sales or other transactions where the CPA cooling-off period applies, you may cancel within 5 business days after the transaction, subject to statutory exceptions for digital content that has already been fully delivered with your agreement.

When refunds are generally not granted

• You changed your mind after starting or completing a substantial part of the course content.
• You failed to meet pass requirements, deadlines, or attendance rules stated on the course page.
• A certificate, external exam registration, or third-party fee was already issued or paid on your behalf.
• Your account was suspended or terminated for breach of our terms or academic integrity rules.

How to request a refund

Email middelburg@suscawatts.com with your full name, the email used on the account, course name, payment reference or receipt, and reason for the request. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible; processing by your bank or card issuer may take 5–10 business days after we initiate the refund.

Course purchase (one-time payment)

• Completing payment creates an enrolment for the course or programme shown at checkout. You may use the course for the access period stated on the course page (or until completion requirements are met, whichever applies).
• Before you start: If you have not accessed course materials and you are within any applicable cooling-off period, you may request cancellation and a refund as set out in our Refund policy.
• After access begins: Cancellation of enrolment does not automatically entitle you to a refund unless we agree otherwise or the law requires it.

Live or scheduled sessions

Courses that include live virtual classes or campus appointments may have attendance and reschedule rules on the course page. Missing a session without following those rules does not entitle you to a refund of tuition already paid.

Recurring subscriptions (if offered)

If you subscribe to a recurring plan, you may cancel renewal at any time before the next billing date through your account settings or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund amounts already paid for the current billing period unless required by law or stated in the offer terms.

Account closure

You may request closure of your learner account by emailing middelburg@suscawatts.com. Closure does not delete records we must keep for accreditation, tax, or legal purposes. Outstanding fees, if any, remain payable.

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or paying for services on Susca Watts Online Academy, you agree to these terms with Susca Watts Academy (Pty) Ltd (“SWA”, “we”, “us”).

1. Services

We provide an online learning platform for courses and related materials operated by SWA. Course content, pass marks, certificates, and accreditation status are described on each course page.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login details secure. Report unauthorised use to middelburg@suscawatts.com.

3. Intellectual property

Course materials, videos, assessments, and branding are owned by SWA or our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for your own learning while enrolled. Do not copy, share, or redistribute course content except where a download is explicitly provided for your personal use.

4. Payments

Prices are shown in ZAR before payment. Access is granted after successful payment unless another arrangement is stated on the course page. Non-payment or chargebacks may result in suspended access.

5. Learner conduct

You must not cheat on assessments, share accounts, attempt to circumvent access controls, or use the platform for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these rules.

6. Certificates and accreditation

Certificates are issued only when stated course requirements are met. Accreditation and external examining body rules may impose additional conditions described on the relevant programme page.

7. Third-party links and services

The platform may link to third-party sites or use payment and hosting providers. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content or policies.

8. Disclaimer

The platform and content are provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access but work to maintain a reliable service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, SWA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify SWA against claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the platform.

11. Privacy

Our use of personal information is described in the Privacy policy below.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes should first be raised with us in writing; if unresolved, parties may pursue remedies available under South African law.

This summary supports payment verification. The full privacy policy on the live platform may contain additional detail for POPIA compliance.

Information we collect

Account details (name, email, phone where provided), enrolment and progress data, assessment submissions, payment references (processed by our payment partner — we do not store full card numbers), and technical logs needed to secure the service.

How we use information

To deliver courses, issue certificates, communicate about your account, improve the platform, and meet legal or accreditation requirements. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example payment processing and email delivery) under contracts that require appropriate security. We may disclose information where required by law or accreditation bodies.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may request access to or correction of your personal information, or object to certain processing, subject to legal exceptions. Contact middelburg@suscawatts.com.

Retention

We retain records as needed for active enrolments, accreditation audits, tax, and dispute resolution, then delete or anonymise where appropriate.

Card and other supported payment methods are processed by Paystack (or another PCI-compliant provider we designate). Payment pages are served securely; SWA does not store your full card details on our servers.

Successful payment triggers enrolment in the course(s) in your checkout basket. If payment fails, no enrolment is created. For payment issues, contact us with your Paystack reference or bank confirmation.
